The sophisticated compositions of multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger, and composer Sly5thAve are shaped by his faith in hip hop, and deep understanding of soul and jazz. With a core underground following, he has been backed by Jarobi White (A Tribe Called Quest), Gilles Peterson, NPR, Jazz Times and more. He has also attained respect from his work with highly-fêted musicians including Prince, Questlove, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Taylor Swift, Janelle Monae, Freddie Gibbs and Quantic.

Having released ‘The Invisible Man: An Orchestral Tribute To Dr. Dre’ to critical claim, Sly5thAve has showcased his abilities as a producer and collaborative musician working with the likes of Denitia, Marlon Craft, Thalma de Freitas, Numonics, Ghost Note, Roberto Verástegui, Steven Bamidele, Ash Walker, Miranda Joan and JSWISS.

Layered with orchestral arrangements, jazz improvisation and hip-hop production, his recent album ‘Liberation’ is an accomplished record of courage, musical conviction, and growth. It is Sly5thAve’s first album of original orchestral arrangements and features the musicianship of his Ghost Note bandmates - headed by Snarky Puppy's multi-Grammy–winning duo Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth.
