Il Mago Del Gelato

Il Mago Del Gelato is a band formed by four musicians (Giovanni Doneda, Ferruccio Perrone, Pietro Gregori, and Alessandro Paolone) fascinated by the world’s cultural variety. This curiosity, both musical and human, has been the basis of their work since the very name of the group: a tribute to a bar in Via Padova, Milan—a meeting place for the four and for the entire neighborhood, where different languages and ethnicities constantly mingle.

From that corner of the world, they observe, blend, and find inspiration for their music.

After winning over audiences in Milan’s most underground venues and with numerous concerts in Italy and abroad, in April 2023 - despite not having released a single track yet - they were included in Rolling Stone’s Class of 2023, a selection of the year’s most promising acts.

In May, they performed at Mi Ami, coinciding with the release of their first single, Zenzero, followed in June by Elisir and in September by Stracciatella. These three tracks anticipated the release of their first EP Maledetta Quella Notte (October 2023), produced by Marquis. With this work, the band firmly established their funk-jazz sound, blending it with influences from 1960s Italian film music.



In 2024, Il Mago Del Gelato officially joined the roster of Dischi Numero Uno, releasing the single Pandora in April, marking a new stage of their artistic journey. December 2024 saw the release of Granturismo, followed on January 24th, 2025 by Tic Tac (with French artist Mélanie Chedeville), anticipating their debut album Chi È Nicola Felpieri?, out March 14th, 2025 on Dischi Numero Uno.
