DRAMA is the multicultural duo of producer Na'el Shehade and vocalist Via Rosa, known for their unique blend of Chicago house, R&B, soul and dance-pop. Their music exists in the tension between heartbreak and euphoria, a sound they call "lovesick." Rosa grew up surrounded by music, touring with her parents' reggae band and drawing inspiration from Sade, Afrobeat, and Brazilian rhythms. As a teenager, she began writing and producing, later joining Chicago's hip-hop collective THEMPeople. Shehade, a Chicago native and son of immigrant parents, was shaped by the city's DJ culture and went on to establish himself as a producer and engineer, working with artists including Chance the Rapper, Kanye West, and Gorgon City. Since forming nearly a decade ago, DRAMA has released several acclaimed projects, from early EPs Gallows (2016) and Lies After Love (2018) to their debut album Dance Without Me (2020) and most recent EP Till We Die (2023), featuring a collaboration with Flight Facilities. Their live performances have taken them to stages at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands, where they've built a devoted global fan base. In early 2026, they released their third full-length album, Platonic Romance, and embarked on their biggest headline tour to date, selling out shows across North America including The Wiltern (LA), Salt Shed (Chicago), Brooklyn Paramount (NYC), Showbox (Seattle) and both Canadian shows in Toronto and Vancouver, a testament to their expanding reach and deepening connection with audiences worldwide.
