Adja

Adja is Brussels-based creator, singer and performer Adja Fassa, an artist who is quickly making a name for herself in Belgium as a multidisciplinary talent with big plans. Besides being a musician, she is also a theater-maker, in the process of developing what she herself calls "Sophisticated Soul in a hybrid concert format": music takes center stage, with her live shows gradually taking on a theatrical character. She tells stories through song, accompanied by other sensory elements such as smell and symbolic visualizations. All this out of a desire to visualize the (collective) subconscious and especially, the feelings we experience at the tipping points of our lives, into a total experience.

In February 2023 she released her debut EP 'IRONEYE' in collaboration with groove-obsessed label Sdban Ultra. Her first single 'Told you so' has now over 1 million streams on Spotify and her songs have been added to popular editorial playlists (Soul’n’the City, Acoustic Soul, Next Wave Soul, Fresh Finds Jazz: Best of 2023, Equal Global: top artists 2023). After a club tour in spring 2023, Adja played Gent Jazz and Brosella, among others, and ended her EP release tour in a sold-out Flagey (Studio 1) in September.

In April 2024, she got selected for IMPALA’s “100 Artists to Watch” in partnership with YouTube, putting the spotlight on 100 independent artists across Europe that currently stand out based on various factors such as diversity and innovation, as well as commercial success.

Adja is currently working on new music, set to release in 2024.
