Jay Prince

Following the success of his BeFor Our Time EP, which has amassed over 3 million streams and received critical acclaim from the likes of Zane Lowe (Beats One), DJ Semtex, Annie Mac and Mis- tajam (BBC Radio 1/1Xtra), Jay Prince is back with a brand new EP ‘Beautiful Mercy’, premiered on Red Bull Music.
The 22 year old rapper and producer, who’s sound has been described as “honeyed hip-hop, re- calling the dawn of US sunshine rap” (PRS for Music), bares all on the EP, showcasing he’s an artist with both style and substance. Fusing silky smooth raps that touch on life experiences and opinions on social/cultural issues, with the funky, feel good production for which he has become known, Jay Prince has delivered another timeless body of work, confirming Complex’s belief he was “One To Watch in 2015”.
Beautiful Mercy, which features the likes of Allan Kingdom, SiR, Brasstracks and Gravez, has re- ceived support from The Fader, Hypetrak, XXL, Pigeons & Planes, MTV, Complex and more.
Along with 2 acclaimed EP releases in 2015, Jay established himself as an exciting live performer with a series of tour dates. Following a sold out debut headline show in London at the top of the year, he embarked on a hugely successful 11 date sold out US tour with Soulection, starting at SXSW and ending at Coachella, playing to thousands of people at legendary venues, such as New York's SOB's, along the way, before also touring Europe with Soulection. Supports slots for Ghost- face Killah & Badbadnotgood, Major Lazer & Snakehips, Raury and Jay Electronica followed, along with festival dates including Outlook, Great Escape and Warehouse project. And in 2016, Jay will embark on his debut headline tour, covering both Europe and North America.
