Cid Rim

Clemens grew up in central Vienna, friends from birth with Oliver Jonson aka Dorian Concept and Paul Movahedi aka The Clonious. He specialised in jazz drums and composition at the Vienna Conservatory. In his teens Clemens co-founded his label Affine Records with 3 friends, to date releasing x20 records to date by local talent like Wandl, Sixtus Preiss and notably Johannesburg’s Okmalumkoolkat. For the years between 2013’s Mute City EP, Cid Rim has toured South Africa twice, and took part in Africa Express working alongside Brian Eno, Actress, Idris Alba, Forrest Swords and the musicians of Gorillaz. He won Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Award for his official remix of Chvrches ‘Recover’ - and has gone on to work with Sky Ferreira, 1975, Petite Noire & Theophilus London - his music picked up by Apple for the launch of their last iPhone. In late Summer of 2016 Clemens moved closer to LuckyMe in London to finish the Material demos he’d started in Vienna."
CID RIM has long been one of leading Scottish label LuckyMe’s secret weapons, also providing critically lauded remixes for the likes of CHVRCHES, The 1975 and Sky Ferreira. On his debut full length as an artist however, CID RIM refines a sound all his own, producing a record that’s unpredictable and intelligent, while retaining an insatiable sense of fun."

Closely following a string of singles featuring Dorian Concept, Petite Noir and The Clonious - on October 20th LuckyMe are releasing the debut full length by Bacher: 11 tracks written in his hometown of Vienna - a bright and vehement optimistic retaliation to the backdrop of a dimensioned Europe. Material is a tribute to the only place this record could of been written; Vienna thrives as one of the best standards of living in the Global North and continues to cultivate a vibrant scene of jazz and electronic music largely uncovered by popular music press.
